Yes I'm knitting socks!!!! (I heard ya'll say Finally!) LOL
I've taken on the trainer sock pattern from Knitty's Sock knitting 101 and by jove I think I've got it!!! I'll post a pic in a bit. I'm trying to get ready for work but I wanted to fill ya'll in on my knitting. LOL I knitted 2 of the trainer socks. The first one looked horrible and the second one looked incredible!!! I'm kicking ass and soon I'll have some socks to wear while doing it!

woo-hoo, is'nt sock knitting addictive?? it took a Secret Pal too get me started on them now i'm hooked, it's my favorite thing too knit!!....this gives me ideas for your next package ;)

ReplyDeletebtw, i *never* thought i'd want to knit socks. then a friend send me some knit picks sock yarn that didn't want to be anything except socks (in a colorway called "Flower Power" that i fondly call "Irish Nachos")
ReplyDeletefor my first socks i used the pippi kneestockings pattern in stitch'n'bitch (but without the stripes)--i also found that picking up the loops thing very confusing, but it all worked out in the end. the crazy Irish Nacho socks make me laugh every time i wear them...they look especially fetching with my fuzzy leopard slippers.
I'm still kind of iffy on the picking up stitches. I plan to conquer it soon though! blah ha ha ha!!
