It's 2016, a 30 something lady in a room surrounded by her favorite yarns sits in front of her computers (one work, and this one that's personal) typing in her thoughts of her favorite things. Yarn. Knitting Needles, yarn, Ravelry, patterns, magazines, yarn, pictures, coffee, hot tea, yarn more yarn.
This lady eliminated 2 of her favorite things Smoking six months ago and Carbs two weeks ago. Which does she miss more? Carbs or Camel Crush? hmmm She can smell a cigarette a mile away and always stops and inhales deeply wishing that she was 88 so she could start smoking again. Sure Crazy Aunt Purl started that one but she adopted that pause on smoking. I don't think she'll mind. But damn that can of Pringles for the daughter in the pantry or that captain crunch cereal really are tempting! mmm Sour Cream and Onion Pringles!
For 3 years there's been other things going on in her life. She's moved to a really big city surrounded by the suburbs which was what she wanted for her little girl to grow up in many many years ago but alas that little girl is now 16. Yep and now she wishes she had 10 acres and a flock of sheep 16.......It's funny how time flies~!
Something new is in store for this fiber loving lady's life and it's rather hard for her to decide if she should start anew or continue on in this blog of the past. It's gotta stay. The past is what makes her who she is yet looking back this woman isn't as recognizable as she once was. She still loves the same things, some of the same people but she's learned a whole lot more and wants to share all she has learned with the world and possibly do the things she loves instead of doing what is always expected. hmmmm
2016 it's a year of change. Well wishes to you all out there that still read blogs. :-)
Please leave a note if you stop by; even if you just say hi!

It’s been a VERY long time!!!
Sorry folks! I’ve been absent for almost 2 years!! How time flies!
Not much as been going on except knitting. Currently I’m knitting the BFF Cowl from Knitty for the Fabulous ShadKitty.
Lately I’ve been super active with a group of lovely chicks that live way out here in Midland TX. Did I mention we moved to Midland TX?
Anyways, my knitting accomplishments have been extensive. 2 sets of Monkey Socks, several hats (for me and for the Grandbabies (did I mention I have grandbabies now? they are are step grandbabies but they are MY grandbabies damn it! and I freaking love them to death!!))
Sym is great! still drawing, gaming, watching anime and badass Tae Kwon Do-ing. Yep she’s doing TKD. That’s new! Sorry again there’s been a bunch of things in the past 2 years.
Let’s throw some pictures here and see how that makes things look more full.

Finished!
So I knit a hat for hubby back before he was my hubby. He went hunting earlier this week and totally messed up the hat. Apparently he had a run in with a tree. The hat lost.
He needed a new hat. I wanted to knit an extraordinary hat for him cause this was my first hat to knit him as his wife. I wanted it to be.... special. especially since he's a hunter and all that.
So he he he
Ya'll remember the fornicating deer chart that was going on a while back? Well that's what I thought of. ;-)
And here ya go. The finished product! I knit it with I love this yarn by hobby lobby. I think I may knit another one for him too just in case that tree decides to attack him again.
I really liked knitting it in less than 24 hours! It's single sided. There's a pattern that requires double knitting out there but I haven't gotten around to conquering that mountain.
WARNING!!! COVER YOUR CHILDREN'S EYES!!!!!!! ESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE REALLY REALLY YOUNG!!! Although they may have the same reaction as Sym.
Sym saw the hat. Ya'll know she's almost a teen right? She said "oh wow that hat is awesome! It's a Christmas hat! Wait, what are the deer doing?"
They be playing leap frog.

Been a long time coming
Sorry guys! I'm totally dropping the bloggin ball. I can't believe I haven't updated this blog since August!
There's alot that has happened. We've moved to Midland Tx, so I made a blog for those experiences. fromaltotx.blogspot.com
I've been knitting alot.
I had started a pair of socks when we were driving out to Midland. I call them my Midland Socks but the pattern is called "Mockery Socks"
I've finished an Advent Calendar. The pattern comes from Knitting Today Magazine. It was a pretty easy knit for me. I am really happy with the results! I couldn't tie jingle bells on it so I made little bobbles and pompoms for where it required bells.
Also I finished it yesterday 12/4 so I wasn't out too many days in December. Woot! :-)
Currently working on at least one stocking. ;-) I'll let ya'll know how it turns out. ;-)
I'll be back.
