Quite concerned indeed....

With the impendent doom of the blobfish, a fish that appears to be somehow morphing into a human before our very eyes, I finally give you knitting before the damn blobfish gets us all!!!

I've been doing some test knitting for Sam Roshak. As I was knitting happily along, I dropped a stitch and it along with several others ended up dropping all the way down to the bottom. Oh did I mention that I was half way through the pattern? Yeah. So What's a gal to do who isn't too keen on picking up stitches in lace weight yarn? You start over of course! Here's the latest progress. I'm through the half way mark and have started knitting the decreasing. Woot!! I hope it block right. Nail biting experiance.
The pattern is called Icing and she should have it available in her ravelry as soon as all of us test knitters are finished.

The yarn is Kaalund yarns classic two 100% Australian Wool. I bought it at in the making along with the huge needle you see in the pic.
Knitting on with haste and hoping to be finished by Saturday including the blocking.

Beware of the blobfish!

Something a friend sent me.. Thought I'd share

THE SHOEBOX

A man and woman had been married for more than 60 years.
They had shared everything. They had talked about everything.
They had kept no secrets from each other except that the little
Old woman had a shoe box in the top of her closet that she had
Cautioned her husband never to open or ask her about.

For all of these years, he had never thought about the box, but
One day the little old woman got very sick and the doctor said
She would not recover.

In trying to sort out their affairs, the little old man took
Down the shoe box and took it to his wife's bedside.
She agreed that it was time that he should know what was
In the box. When he opened it, he found two knitted dolls
And a stack of money totaling $95,000.

He asked her about the contents.

'When we were to be married,' she said, ' my grandmother told me
The secret of a happy marriage was to never argue. She told me that
If I ever got angry with you, I should just keep quiet and knit a doll.'

The little old man was so moved; he had to fight back tears. Only two
Precious dolls were in the box. She had only been angry with him two
Times in all those years of living and loving. He almost burst with
Happiness.

'Honey,' he said, 'that explains the dolls, but what about all of this money?
Where did it come from?'

'Oh,' she said, 'that's the money I made from selling the dolls.'

A Prayer.......
Dear Lord, I pray for Wisdom to understand my man;
Love to forgive him; And Patience for his moods;
Because Lord, if I pray for Strength, I'll beat him to death,
Because I don't have time to knit!

More changes

Yep changes. Why does everything change all at once? Because it didn't really change all at once. It was actually changing slowly all the time but you were just so busy that ya didn't even notice the changes happening. OH. Ok

Completed Knitting:
Buggerloo Pattern by The Lovely Shadknitty
I made 2 one grey and one brown. The brown one does not have a rim on the hat like the grey one. They turned out great! They were for Sym and Van.

Good News!!!
New Mattress! Yay! The old one was 12 years old bought new/Custom made/ for the ex and I. Just got the new one Tuesday and my my my it is quite lovely indeed. My back is much happier now. :-)

MORE GOOD NEWS!!!
I won a contest at Knit Quest!! Go read about it! that's the link right there. I heart Samantha Roshak She's a great designer and I enjoy her blog lots so ya'll go over there and show some love. She's got talent I tell you! She also has patterns on ravelry for sale and is offering online knitting classes. So go! Go I tell you!!

For the past year I have really been a sucky blogger. I do apologize ya'll. I didn't realize till just recently how much I miss surfing and being apart of the knittin blog community. I feel like the last time I really posted anything about knitting was 2 years ago.
I'm back gonna change this blog and dedicate some time to it. If the rest of the world would just stop changing ever so slightly that it makes this huge change occur. I'd might be in better shape.
